The post is as Country Manager for the business of the society 
The Country Manager  will manage, grow and take accountability for the Society business and implement product and market strategies that meet global and regional business strategic objectives.  Primarily responsible for financial and customer metrics for the business entity and region.

Poste et missions

The Country Manager will be in charge of/or will participate in the following duties:

- Ensuring business plan are in place and communicated to all employees
- Coordinate internal & external activities to optimise resources, products and services provided
- Ensure all projects are clearly specified and meet agreed financial objectives prior to commencement of supply
- Plan and implement major financial performance
- Ensure system are in place to monitor and evaluate performance against plan budgets or objectives and that corrective action is taken as necessary
- Maintain and build on customer relationships and lead major negotiations
- Systematic capturing of current and future market information (socio-economic and political profile of country market segments products etc)
- Identifying opportunities and developing strategies and implement plans to succeed
- Continuously develop, maintain and update business plan as and when required in order to remain market leader
- Apply customer focus to end users of our products, distributors, explosive licensees local business partners and other stakeholders
- Develop performance measures and survey customers for satisfaction and needs
- Ensure financial stewardship of the business is consistent with the company policy and audit requirement
- Taking an objective, informed and balanced view of the current and potential stand of customers.
- Seek ways to add additional value to existing customers
- Successfully manage the contract with all existing customers and new business contracts.
- Continuous improvement of administrative systems to advantage customer and OMS
- Direct government agency liaison to facilitate ease of customer and company operations
- Business needs are identified to allow timely resource planning
- Ensure that the matrix structure in the company is observed, adds value and is effective across the  country business .

Profil et compétences requises

General management experience essential
- Expatriate experience in Africa essential
- Sales, due diligence and new contract management experience is essential
- Fluent English speaker
- Open, positive, cooperative, efficient and flexible.
- Professional and knowledgeable, with sound judgement.
- Good analytical and writing-skills.
- Able to take initiatives, work efficiently with multiple tasks and manage own workload.
- Positive to new challenges and willing to adapt to new systems and demands.

- Engineering Degree
- MBA or business degree 
- 5 years experience in blasting (advantage)
- 5 years experience in the explosives industry
- 10 years experience in engineering manufacturing operations (essential)
- General management experience essential
- Expatriate experience in Africa essential
- Proficient in PC software including: Word, Excel, Notes & Power point.
- Strong business acumen
- Advanced Negotiating Skills
- Contract Management

- English very good command.
