Contexte

As part of its business expansion, our client is looking to hire a facilities manager who will manage and control Facilities Management Personnel, service contracts, repairs revamps, upgrading and Tenant installations for a cluster of buildings and do inspections and Building administration to ensure that SLA's and mandates are met.

Poste et missions

Specific duties include:

 

·         Set up and manage the expense budget;

·         Manage service contractors and liaise with Management of service contractors;

·         Manage running and planned maintenance;

·         Ensure that tenants get value for money and that product can compete in the market;

·         Set up emergency and evacuation plans and procedures;

·         Set up and maintain house rules;

·         Assist with objections to rates and tax adjustments;

·         Manage the team (performance management, training and development);

·         Manage the project team;

·         Liaise on a daily basis with internal and external parties;

·         Inspect schedules to follow up on repairs;

·         Completion of Tenant Installation in accordance with predetermined spec and cost estimate ;

·         Purchase assets and build inventory;

·         Cultivate positive relations with staff reporting in;

·         Report to Tenant Management;

·         Retain or replace tenant in time at optimal rate.

Profil et compétences requises

·         Tertiary qualification in Building Management

·         Minimum 5 years experience Facilities Management

·         English and French language fluency required

·         Able to write business specs and house rules

·         Strong people management  and administration skills

·         Strong teamwork

·         Strong project management skills

·         Basic technical knowledge

·         Elementary financial management skills

·         In debt knowledge of lease agreements

·         Basic knowledge of statutory requirements

·         Good analytical skills, sense of initiative and methodical

·         Excellent communication and personal organisational skills

·         Strong decision making skills and problem solving

·         Quality and customer oriented
